About Motivating Your Mindset

THE STORY

Where the RESET Method came from and why it’s built the way it is.

Built on honesty.

WHO IS THIS

Grounded in science.

Designed for real change.

Motivating Your Mindset wasn’t built to sell you another productivity system, another morning routine, or another framework for thinking your way to a better life.

It was built because most self-help, even the genuinely well-intentioned kind skips the most important step. It tells you what to do, to try harder, believe more, be more consistent. That quietly implies that if it’s not working, the problem is you.

That framing is both wrong and harmful. And it’s what the RESET Method was built to address.

“Real Change doesn’t come from better habits. It comes from understanding, at depth, what’s running your behavior beneath the level habits can reach.”

#1 Honest before hopeful

We don’t skip the hard parts. Toxic positivity isn’t compassion, it’s avoidance. Every piece of content here is designed to be honest about what the work actually requires.

#2 Grounded in science

Every framework, practice, and claim in the RESET Method is grounded in psychology, neuroscience, and behavioral research. Not because science is the only form of wisdom but because you deserve to know the evidence behind what you’re being asked to do.

#3 No prerequisite belief system

This work is for everyone willing to look honestly at their patterns regardless of spiritual orientation, background, or prior experience. No esoteric knowledge or belief system required, just a willingness.

#4 Integration, not inspiration

Inspiration fades, but integration lasts. The goal of every guide, every workbook, every resource here is genuine behavioral change, not just the feeling of having had an insight.

#5 Gentle and direct

Honest doesn’t mean harsh. Every piece of content here is designed to tell you the truth and to do so with the same care you’d want someone to bring to a hard conversation with you.

The work of Motivating Your Mindset is to give people the framework, the language, and the tools to understand what’s actually running their behavior - and to choose differently. Not through positive thinking but through the kind of honest, grounded, compassionate self-inquiry that actually creates change.

A note on what this is - and isn’t

Motivating Your Mindset is a self-guided educational resource. The guides and workbooks here are not therapy, not medical advice, and not a replacement for professional mental health support.

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, active trauma responses, or any condition that requires professional care, please seek that support. These resources are designed to complement professional care - not replace it.

Hi, I’m Cheyenne

I didn’t find healing. I chose it, one hard day at a time.

If you’ve ever look at your life and thought “how did I get here and how do I stop repeating this?” then I want you to know that I have sat exactly where you are. I know what it feels like to carry patterns you didn’t choose, in a body that learned long before you could understand it what it meant to survive. I know what it feels like to finally decide, not anymore!

Where it started.

I came into this world already carrying a story that wasn’t mine to carry. My early childhood home was abusive and dysfunctional at best which eventually led to a violent and irreversible way a child can lose a parent. Life shifted suddenly and a world I once knew would never be the same. I would spend the next few decades of my life trying to figure out why this was my story and how to heal from wounds created before I could even articulate my thoughts or feelings.

The patterns that followed.

At times I felt as though I was slowly starting to become my mother’s story. The toxic people and environments, abusive relationships, trauma, attachment issues and lack of emotional boundaries that I repeatedly found myself in were hard to understand. How could I go from a child actively saying “I never want to experience what my mom did, I will choose differently” to finding myself in similar situations? The parallels were scary at the time for my teenage brain to comprehend and even scarier looking back at them with adult comprehension. I was beginning to repeat these ingrained patterns, thoughts and beliefs. Here is where I learned that healing is not linear and is layered more like an onion. Every time you remove a layer there is another layer underneath, waiting to be exposed. Peeling back these layers and truly sitting with your shadow or inner child can be life altering, in the sense of understanding, peace, forgiveness, acceptance, and authenticity to yourself.

The moment I choose differently.

The decisions that changed everything weren’t dramatic.

They were quiet, private lines that I drew: I am not going to keep living this way. I am not going to pass these patterns to my children. I am going to figure out what’s actually running my life and I am going to do something about it.

Those decisions is what eventually became Motivating Your Mindset.

What I do now and why.

I work on my healing every single day. Not because I’m broken but because I believe that this work is the most important thing I can do-for myself, for my children, for the generational line that comes after us.

The RESET Method I’ve developed draws on everything I’ve lived and learned: the science of attachment and trauma, the practice of inner child reparenting, the deep work of shadow integration, and the generational healing that happens when someone in the family says “this stops here.”

I built this for the person who is exhausted from managing their life from a safe distance or for the one who is smart enough to see their patterns but hasn’t found the tools to shift them at their root, for the one who has tried affirmations, vision boards and mindset work and knows that something deeper is being asked of them. I built this for the version of me who needed it most and couldn’t find it anywhere.

What I believe about healing.

Healing is not about becoming someone new. It’s about gently releasing the armor that was never really you and allowing the person underneath to finally breathe. You don’t have to fix yourself or earn your way into wholeness, you just need to understand yourself with honesty, compassion and the willingness to look at the patterns that have been running underground. The patterns you carry were intelligent and they protected you at one time, they just don’t have to run your life anymore. That shift from surviving to becoming, is exactly what this work is for.

I’m glad you’re here, wherever you are in your story!

With love and honesty,

Cheyenne {Motivating Your Mindset}

P.S. I would truly love to hear from you. Please reach-out and share with me your stories of trials and resilience, the wounds your closing, the patterns that are no longer coming along for the ride, and the inner child who is actively healing because you took the time to look within and show yourself the love and compassion you may have never known you needed. 🤍
